Hi! As we entered a New Year I was thinking like a lot of us I would like to make a few changes. I want to be more fit and have more energy. I was also thinking of my husband and children, particularly my children in that I did not want to call it a diet. I feel as a family that we eat fairly healthy foods, but there is always room for improvement! I feel myself in particular could learn some portion control. It is amazing what we really should be having. I elicited the help of a nutritionist and I am following what I would like to call a Lifestyle Change. I just completed my first full week today! I feel amazing! I have to say it has also had a profound positive effect on my family. I could not ask for more! As I am preparing the meals either one or both of my children are asking I would like to try that fish, I would like some oatmeal ! I say WOW!
I explain to them the fish does not have any spices or sauces it may not taste like what they are used to. They want to try any way! I am delighted to say I received positive feedback, that's good Mom! I know for myself it is particularly hard to make changes even little ones! I am here to report that even after just one week I am feeling very thankful that I made these changes and am looking forward to more positive results! Sara

Hi! I am so excited I am putting together a charity event for Mommy's Light hosted by myself Sara Snyder Mrs. Coatesville International 2012! It will be held on Tuesday February 21, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Frey Boutique in Exton. Christmas Traditions

Hi! Christmas is almost here! I am deep in thought of all the wonderful traditions we have completed already such as going out and cutting down the christmas tree, baking cookies together, making wreaths and decorating the house together. Also the traditions to come such as Christmas eve service at church! My favorite tradition of all! All of these traditions I did every year with my family, again I feel very blessed that I am able to carry these on and I am also reminded of what I am teaching my children for I feel that these traditions have helped to shape me into the woman I am today and just how very important the job of Mommy's Light is. May you continue to have many pleasant memories of your traditions. Merry Christmas! Sara

Birthday Traditions

Hi! On this particular day I am thinking about how on each of my children's birthday's we baked together what they wanted for their birthdays! As we are baking I am flooded with very pleasant memories of baking with my mother for birthdays and other occasions, that I had not thought about in a long time! How sweet the memories! I then think how without consciously thinking about it, I just do what my mother had done with my brother and I. I feel blessed to know these simple traditions are ingrained in me and that I just do them. It warms me to think that some day my children may also automatically do this with their children and reinforces the thought of how needed Mommy's Light is to carry on these traditions. Sara
