Lemonade Stand

On a very hot July morning and afternoon, my children Georgie and Isabella decided to have a lemonade stand benefitting Mommy's Light. I believe they picked the hottest day of the year! The best part about this story is that we live on a dead end street that turns into a hilly rocky dirt road!! There are only seven houses on our street! They drew and decorated a sign telling about the money would go to Mommy's Light. They sat out in front of our house all morning as it got hotter & hotter, they kept coming in for more ice, as it quickly melted! The mail carrier purchased a few cups! We live on the edge of a county park, not where the visitors come through, the far edge!!! The park ranger finally drove by, after climbing out of his vehicle lifting up his seat and finding some spare change underneath, he bought several cups!!!! It is now late afternoon, but the weary, hot and tired children do not give up. They gather a tray, put some cups, the pitcher of lemonade and the sign and they go door to door pedaling there lemonade! God Bless our neighbors and everyone who donated! They donated $28.00 to Mommy's Light!!! The moral to my story, Never Ever Give Up!!! I am so proud of my children! They planned this all on there own!!!     Sara
